You can expect about 24 hours of awareness of your toe ring. After that, fitted toe rings are very comfortable, and can be worn with many types of shoes. The most comfortable place to wear a toe ring is the middle of the toe just below the toe pad and before the knuckle. Adjustable toe rings can pinch, snag on carpet, and are far less comfortable than a fitted toe ring.

It's simply more comfortable. Generally, a single, wide toe ring tends to be restrictive. A stack is more flexible, with each ring allowed to move independently (although they move together and look like one ring.)

Only if the toe ring is clearly too large might it bend easily. If worn at the middle of the toe, it's unlikely to touch the ground and should not bend.

Most people have a pad under the tip of the toe that prevents the ring from slipping off. However, if you do not have a pad near the top of your toe, you may wish to remove ring when bathing or swimming. Additionally, a toe ring should not be able to be removed without lubricating the toe and wiggling it off. If the ring slides on and off easily, it is likely too large.

Lubricate the toe with something slippery. We recommend Windex, as it does not create a build-up on your jewelry. Toe rings have to be pushed, wiggled back and forth and top to bottom to clear the toe pad.  They should not be shoved straight on the toe.

You should not be able to get your toe ring on or off without Windex. If you cannot spin your toe ring on your toe, it is too tight. After wearing your toe ring for 24 hours or so, you should not notice it.

The chemicals in some pools and spas may tarnish sterling silver, but because they are sterling, a quick polish will restore their luster. A jewelry cloth for polishing silver can be purchased at your local jewelry store. Also, some people have high acidity levels in their skin, and these rare individuals might have better luck with 14kt gold.
